Visit to Leicestershire County Cricket Club

On Friday 17th May 2024, we took just under 90 children to the Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) on Grace Road to watch the Leicestershire team play against the Gloucestershire team.

The weather held out for us with some lovely sun after such a rainy few days prior and the children sat in their seats full of excitement ready for the game to begin. They loved every moment of watching the game, cheering the team when they hit 6's and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. They especially enjoyed watching the mascot race over lunch.

The children took part in several indoor and outdoor workshops such as glow in the dark cricket, foxes den, inflatable darts, emergency service zone, player Q&A, trophies, table cricket and a disability zone.
Children who had permission also enjoyed having some Graffiti art on their arms using face paints.

Congratulations to the children who won prizes throughout the day, it was certainly a special day to remember!
